PawQR ("we", "our", "us") operates pawqr.in and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

  • Order information: Name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, and state when you purchase the PawQR Kit.
  • Pet registration information: Your dog's name, breed, date of birth, gender, coat colour, medical conditions, and a photo. Your name, mobile number(s), email address, home address (optional), and veterinarian details.
  • Contact form submissions: Name, email address, and the content of your message.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and browser/device type — collected via Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent).
  • Cookies: We use cookies for session management and, with your consent, for analytics and personalisation. See our Cookie section below.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and fulfil your order
  • To create and host your dog's QR profile page
  • To send order confirmation and shipping updates
  • To respond to support inquiries
  • To improve our website and services (aggregated analytics only)
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

3. Public Information on Pet Profiles

When you register your dog's profile, the following information becomes publicly accessible at your unique profile URL (e.g., pawqr.in/p/YOURCODE):

  • Your dog's name, photo, breed, age, and colour
  • Your first name and mobile number(s)
  • Your dog's medical conditions and allergies
  • Your veterinarian's name and phone number
  • Your home address (only if you choose to provide it)

This information is intentionally public so that anyone who finds your dog can contact you. By registering, you consent to this information being publicly visible. You may contact us at any time to update or remove your profile.

4. Third-Party Services

  • PayU India: Processes your payment. PayU's privacy policy governs payment data. We do not store full card or UPI details.
  • Google Analytics 4: Used for website analytics with your consent. IP addresses are anonymised.
  • Google Tag Manager: Used to manage analytics and marketing tags. No data is collected until you consent via our cookie banner.
  • Meta Pixel: Used for advertising analytics with your consent only.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Used for session recording and heatmaps with your consent only.
  • Hosting (Hostinger): Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Your data is stored on servers in accordance with Hostinger's data processing terms.

5. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (session cookies, CSRF protection). These cannot be rejected.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics — only set with your explicit consent via our cookie banner.
  • Marketing cookies: Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity — only set with your explicit consent.

6. Data Retention

  • Order data is retained for 7 years for accounting and legal compliance.
  • Pet profile data is retained as long as you choose to keep your profile active.
  • Contact form messages are retained for 2 years.
  • Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings.

Under Indian law and our own policy, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Update your dog's profile at any time
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, prepared SQL statements to prevent injection, and restricted access to production systems.

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach affecting your information.

9. Children's Privacy

PawQR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
